Redwind has focused for years on bringing healthcare innovation and technology to market, with a particular focus on the intersection of the two. Redwind was founded on the notion that bringing the right analytical and execution tools, management and capital to bear on innovation opportunities will yield superior and lasting value to owners and clients and the communities they serve. Redwind’s founders have decades of experience in the fields of healthcare, pharmacy, technology-based development, early stage opportunity formation and acceleration, and growth company management and investment. We offer a no nonsense style, time tested tools and analytics, and a deep network of associates to help extract and accelerate value creation from technology and innovation.
Redwind’s principals have a combined 120 years of experience developing healthcare services and early stage technologies and in forming and growing thriving enterprises. They have a long successful history of working together.
In healthcare services, Redwind principals have had direct experience with pharmacy and specialty pharmacy buildout, licensure, workflow design, payor contracting, and supply chain setup and management. We have also had experience with managed care contracting, provider network development, and risk management. We have directly managed 28 pharmacies in 12 states. We have had multiple pharmacies accredited by third party accreditation bodies, including URAC, ACHC, PCAB, CHAP, VIPPS, VAWD and JCAHO. We have dealt extensively with CMS, many state Medicaid agencies, the DEA, the FDA, and others. We have had hands on experience with lobbyists and advocacy at the state and federal level.
We have successfully built out and managed full national sales organizations, and developed ongoing sales training and performance management tools including CRM implementation.
In technology innovation, Redwind principals have managed several technology-based companies, all of which served the healthcare market. We have played a role in 100’s of inventions, technology licenses, almost 100 angel or venture-backed growth companies or university-based startups, and have driven growth capital fund raisings totaling more than $500 million.
We have advised many universities, hospitals, government agencies, foundations, and other organizations as to best practices in healthcare services and technology development, including Carnegie Mellon University, Case Western Reserve University, University of Pittsburgh, Rice University, UAB Research Foundation, and numerous privately-held technology or healthcare services companies.
